Abstract

The emergence of internet streaming platforms has precipitated a fundamental transformation in the landscape of movie culture, transitioning it from conventional to digital formats. The advent of streaming platforms such as Netflix has significantly transformed the patterns of media consumption and the strategies employed for its promotion. Despite the novelty and appeal of this medium, particularly among younger generations, promotional strategies continue to rely on utilising content and streaming services to effectively engage customers. Content analysis is a research method employed to assess advertising strategies, with a specific emphasis on the utilisation of colour coding and cultural representation. The present study included a diverse range of advertising materials sourced from prominent streaming platforms across a span of time. This study focuses on the analysis of promotional colour schemes in order to identify recurring patterns or 'codes' associated with specific genres or topics. Self Interpretation: The Identity of Women Legislator

Abstract

There is an expansion of the meaning of women's personal identities in the process of transforming the contestation of political life in Indonesia. This research is able to interpret the role and position of women in determining the direction of changing women's identity. Methodologically, this research uses a Schutz phenomenological approach through in-depth interviews. Field research was carried out by taking research subjects, comprising eight female members of the legislature in the city of Surabaya. The results of the study revealed women's identity as a form of approved self-meaning: first, women’s identity as a female fighter. This identity offers a form of identity as part of tracking the struggle of gender fighters. The second is women’s identity as a people's fighters. The third is the identity of a great woman who has electability and credibility as people's representatives. The fourth is women’s identity as a superwoman. They stand to fight for their family’s welfare, a manifestation of the excessive burden of the domestic role that is their husband’s responsibility. The most powerful factors forming women's legal identity are family, political parties, community views and political interests. Many "women legislators" in Indonesia are still developing themselves and adapting to the modernization of political identity. In conclusion, the direction of identity change through self-definition is incompatible with the direction of progressive political change in political communication competence. The significance of this research will give an impact on the political system regarding the recruitment and regeneration process of legislative candidates in Indonesia in the future.

Improving Communication Managerial Skill Among Women: Study On PT XYZ

Abstract

This case study explores the communication styles and managerial skills of women leaders at PT XYZ, a prominent Indonesian company. The research seeks to uncover the distinct strengths that women bring to management positions and invesorganizational empower and bolster their growth as leaders. Previous research has emphasized the positive communication skills that women frequently demonstrate in professional settings, including their ability to empathize, pay attention to details, and make inclusive decisions. The "Women's Management Model" proposes that these characteristics can be valuable assets in management positions. Nevertheless, women leaders may encounter cultural biases that associate assertiveness and authority with more "masculine" traits. The case study methodology, as described by Robert K. Yin, was used to thoroughly examine women managers at PT XYZ. The research team analyzed propositions and conducted tests using the collected evidence to gain a thorough understanding of the phenomenon. The findings suggest that women managers at PT XYZ possess excellent communication skills, which encompass active listening, conflict resolution, and team-building. These strengths greatly enhance employee engagement and productivity. Nevertheless, the women also encounter difficulties in being seen as authoritative figures, as their communication styles are occasionally seen as too "soft" or "emotional" for leadership positions. In order to fully unleash the capabilities of women leaders, it is crucial for organizations to foster inclusive environments that recognize and appreciate the distinct communication strengths possessed by female managers. Implementing mentorship programs, leadership development initiatives, and inclusive policies can be instrumental in empowering women and cultivating a culture of collaboration and effectiveness within teams.
